FIVE GENERATIONS
(click for a bigger, better resolution) Ladies and gentlemen, please stand up- 5 generations, all females. Absolutely mind-blowing! I am rather proud to belong to such a family, with my grandmother really putting the GRAND in "grandmother"!
In the pic, from right to left- My grandmother(Janaki Bai/Bhoomi), her daughter(Neela), her daughter (Neerada), her daughter (Rekha), her daughter (Shrishti).
All the females were the first offspring to their parent. By the way, this lineage is special as it is pure female, and all were first born. With my grandma, there are two more instances of 5 generations, but a mixture of males and females. Nowadays, third generation is the most we'd get to see- that too, sometimes. I'd bet this is one of the last instances that we'd ever get to see such a picture. Check out these "statistics"!

All hail my grand mother, who is also called BHOOMI in our family. True to her name, she is the mother earth!

It is not only rare, but one has to be gifted to see who is 5th down the batting order.
